Training Hard
I've been pretty motivated coming off of the trip to Foster and Rocktown. The weather getting cooler has definitely been a source of excitement too. I did compete in my first ABS local and while that had the opposite effect of the trip to Foster Falls and Rocktown (it actually demotivated me) I'm still excited to be training because I don't think I did as well as I was capable and I look forward to doing another one in November and pushing myself further. I guess what I don't like about indoor competitions is how easy it is to judge your performance off of where you placed and not how hard you pushed yourself.

Foster Falls and Rocktown!
Made the six hour drive up to Rocktown and then Foster Falls over Labor Day weekend with a friend. Rocktown was great as usual pretty buggy but not bad didn't see any black widows this time so that's a plus. We bouldered at Rocktown Friday night until three in the morning and the next day until lunch before kicking off and heading to Chattanooga to go mountain biking. We ended up spending the night at Foster because neither of us had been and some people from The Coop were going to be there. Foster Falls is pretty amazing it's a shame there's not a ton of bouldering there because going swimming after a long day of being out in the heat felt fantastic. It's hard to put into words how amazingly content I felt drying off and eating dinner back at camp as the sun went down. I'll definitely be returning to Foster next summer but I think the next trip will be Obed.

Stone Fort
Trying to figure out the last couple moves on Genghis Khan.It was pretty greasy and drizzling on and off the entire time I was at Stone Fort but I was still able to get on a lot of great problems. Climbing on the Bowling Ball Boulder was incredibly fun.

Rock Garden Off of Megunticook St.
One of my favorite hikes to do in Camden. The trail head is withing walking distance of downtown and goes up these awesome slabs that overlook the town. It's a short hike but very steep and rewarding.
